Hope Town sits on the island of Elbow Cay. A short picturesque Ferry ride takes you from the dock in Marsh Harbour back in time to the quaint little barrier island of Hope Town. This is the place where postcards are made. In fact Hope Town’s candy striped lighthouse is probably the most recognizable and photographed landmark in the Bahamas. Head north from the Town to the “North End” or take a right and follow the harbour around to White Sound Dorros Cove and Tahiti Beach.

The locals are descendents of British Loyalists that fled the southern states in Revolutionary War times, and one can still hear the accent of their British ancestry.

Property in Hope Town is very desirable fetching some of the highest prices in Abaco. Eastern facing beaches that run down one entire side of this wonderful island and a cove of coconut lined beachfront on the western side called Tahiti Beach make Hope Town Abaco simply idyllic.
